Lane Ward, Realtor® Associate
A fourth generation Texan, Lane grew up in Baytown and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, and he is retired from Amegy Bank of Texas and also served as its Director. In the financial services and real estate industry for over 49 years, Lane joined Fort Bend Federal Savings & Loan Association in 1978 and served as Financial Vice President, Executive Vice President, and President and Chief Operating Officer. Lane also served as Vice Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Fort Bend Holding Corporation and as Chairman of the Board for Mitchell Mortgage/Amegy Mortgage Company.
Banking and real estate run in Lane’s blood – his father was a Realtor®, and his grandfather started Fort Bend Federal Savings & Loan in 1933 and was also the Tax Assessor-Collector for Fort Bend County. His history in and knowledge of the financial services industry and accounting allows Lane to bring a multi-dimensional perspective to the real estate world – Lane’s mindset is geared with analytical and problem-solving skills not often seen in the real estate world. Lane brings a unique approach to each transaction of which he is a part and is laser focused on even the most minute of details. Having lived and worked in Fort Bend County for the last 42 years, Lane has an in depth knowledge of the market as well.
Many will tell you there is not a more honest and genuine person than Lane. His clients find his professionalism and result-driven determination on their behalf refreshing. Lane values the connections he builds with each client, and his goal is to extend every transaction into an ongoing relationship. Lane is actively involved in a variety of community organizations, having served as a trustee for The George Foundation, the Polly Ryon Hospital Authority, the Polly Ryon Foundation, and as a director for The Sam Houston Council Boy Scouts of America. Lane currently serves as a director for The Henderson-Wessendorff Foundation, director for the West Fort Bend Management District, and as Finance Chairman for St. John’s United Methodist Church. He and his wife of forty-nine years, Vicki, live in the Richmond area and have three grown children and six grandchildren.
